Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Bismarck, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a 1,290-square-foot sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a 1,290-square-foot sidewalk / parking lot.

The project includes: Demolition and replacement of approximately 1,290 SF of Sidewalk, ADA landings, and all other work necessary to make the project complete and useable. The Bidder shall comply with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Contract Provisions. The goal for the Bismarck Sidewalk Improvements 2023 is 5.00%. Penalties for non-compliance include contractor forfeiture to the City of Bismarck, Missouri in the amount of $2,500.00, plus $100 per contractor and subcontractor employee for each calendar day such employee is employed beyond the elapsed time period for required program completion under 292.675 RSMO. If a contract award is made, it will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. This is a prevailing wage project. State and Federal wage rates will be used for this project, the higher of the two for each job classification should be used. MODOT - Bismarck Sidewalk Improvements 2023 The contractor shall comply with all laws pertaining to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) during construction of pedestrian facilities on public rights of way for this project. An ADA Checklist is provided herein to be utilized by the contractor for verifying compliance with the ADA law. The contractor is expected to familiarize himself with the plans involving pedestrian facilities and the ADA Post Construction Checklist prior to performing the work. This provision requires the contractor to provide a Water Pollution Control Manager (WPCM) for any project that includes land disturbance on the project site and the total area of land disturbance, both on the project site, and all Off-site support areas, is one (1) acre or more. Regardless of the area of Off-site disturbance, if no land disturbance occurs on the project site, these provisions do not apply. When a WPCM is required, all sections within this provision shall be applicable, including assessment of specified Liquidated Damages for failure to correct Stormwater Deficiencies, as specified herein. This provision is in addition to any other stormwater, environmental, and land disturbance requirements specified elsewhere in the contract. This work shall consist of the dry process of adding ground tire rubber (GTR) to modify bituminous material to be used in highway construction. Existing GTR requirements in Section 1015 pertain to the wet process method of GTR modification that blends GTR with the asphalt binder (terminal blending or blending at HMA plant). The following requirements shall govern for dry process GTR modification. The dry process method adds GTR as a fine aggregate or mineral filler during mix production. All GTR modified asphalt mixtures shall be in accordance with Secs 401, 402, or 403 as specified in the contract; except as revised by this specification. Whereas Sec 1081.10 requires delivery of Blast Media and Paint Residue (BMPR) produced from bridge coating activities to The Doe Run Company for recycling, and considering the amount of BMPR produced on all active MoDOT projects statewide at any given point in time may exceed the recycling capacity of Doe Run, this provision allows for an alternate method of disposal of BMPR. The contractor, at its discretion, can choose this disposal option or the Doe Run recycle option, when both are available. When Doe Run is not currently capable or agreeable to accept the BMPR, this alternate disposal option shall be considered mandatory, and at no additional cost to the Commission. THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF 6 DIFFERENCE AREAS IN THE CITY OF BISMARCK WHERE THE EXISTING DILAPIDATED SIDEWALKS WILL BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH NEWADA COMPLIANT SIDEWALKS. SIDEWALKS WILL BE CONSTRUCTED IN THE SAME LOCATION AS THE EXISTING SIDEWALKS. OVERALL IT WILL BE APPROXIMATELY 6,000 SF OF SIDEWALKS BEING REMOVED AND REPLACED. NO MAJOR EXCAVATION OR FILL IS EXPECTED TO TAKE PLACE. THE NEW SIDEWALKS SHOULD GENERALLY MATCH THE ELEVATION OF THE EXISTING SIDEWALKS. CONSTRUCTION IS EXPECTED TO TAKE PLACE 8/24-12/24 The project consists of the removal and replacement of sidewalks throughout the City of Bismarck, St. Francois County, MO. There are 6 different locations in the City where the existing sidewalks will be removed and replaced with ADA compliant sidewalks. There are not rivers or streams in the area that will be affected by the sidewalk replacement. section 5, township 35N, range 4E. lat/long- 37D46'09.15"N, 90D37'28.75"E
