MIPS Bid Package 3 Facility/Building Projects All proposals shall be made on the forms furnished by the City. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive all informalities and to accept the bid that is to the advantage of and is in the best interest of the City of Rapid City. Project Locations: 1. Landfill Operator's Shack: 5555 S. Highway 79, Rapid City, SD. 2. Jackson Springs PRV Facility Rehabilitation: Located on the south side of Jackson, Blvd, approximately 475 feet east of the Cleghorn Springs State Fish Hatchery, 4725 Jackson Blvd, Rapid City, SD. 3. South Pinedale Booster and PRV: Northwest Corner of the Intersection of Canyon Lake Drive and Hills View Drive, Rapid City, SD. 4. Skyline Reservoir Coating: 4550 Mount Rushmore Rd, Rapid City.SD. 5. Northridge Water Storage: PO Box 330, Rapid City, SD. 6. Signal Hill Manway Access Enlargement: 4404'28.8" N, 10313'18.7" W. 7. South Canyon Reservoir: 514 City Springs RD, Rapid City, SD. 8. Southwest Reservoir: Carriage Hill Dr, Rapid City, SD. 9. North Rapid Reservoir: 3025 Bunker Dr, Rapid City, SD. 10. Robbinsdale Reservoir: 716 Minnesota St, Rapid City, SD. 11. (Bid Alternate) Plum Creek Lift Station: 3215 Willowbend Road, Rapid City, SD. 12. (Bid Alternate) Lake Herman Water Filling Station: 5555 S Highway 79, Rapid City, SD. To be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to: 1. Landfill Operator's Shack: a. Site preparation work including excavation, grading, and surface preparation. b. Furnish and install new trailer for operator's shack, including stair and ramp access, interior furnishings as specified, andanchorage. c. Provide above grade insulated and heated dual water storage tanks, including excavation, granular fill, concrete slab, piping, fittings, and connections. Water storage tanks to have a storage volume of 2,500 gallons each, for a total storage volume of 5,000 gallons. d. Provide insulated and heat traced service water piping from the tanks to the new trailer including jet pump and connection to trailer. e. Provide new above grade insulated and heated dual sanitary wastewater holding tanks, including concrete pad. Holding tanks to have a minimum storage volume of 2,500 gallons each, for a minimum total storage volume of 5,000 gallons. f. Provide insulated and heat traced sanitary service piping from the new operations trailer to the holding tanks. g. Site restoration work and aggregate parking area. 2. Jackson Springs PRV Facility Rehabilitation. a. Coordinate with Utility for electrical service to existing PRV Vault. b. Set up traffic control and barriers on Jackson Blvd as required for construction. c. Remove and dispose of solar panel stand, battery storage cabinet and concrete pad. d. Modify existing PRV vault entrance including removal of existing floor access and ships ladder, saw cutting and enlarging opening, concrete curb, new access hatch with safety post, and new ships. e. Provide exhaust fan and with entrance switch to activate fan and unit heater. f. Electrical meter, panel, and wiring to lights, unit heater, exhaust fan, outlets, and entrance switch. 3. South Pinedale Booster Station. a. Demolish existing starters, unit heater cabinet, and other associated electrical equipment. Demolish existing unit heater. b. New VFDs to be in the PRV room adjacent to the Booster Pump Room. c. Modifications to the existing piping and furnishing and installation of flow meters on the discharge piping of the Booster Pumps. d. Modifications to the existing piping and furnishing and installation of flow meter in the PRV room. e. New disconnect switches, transformer, MSB cabinet and other electrical equipment as shown on the Drawings. f. New HVAC equipment in the Booster Pump Room and PRV Room. g. Provide new electrical conduit and wiring as shown on the Drawings. 4. Skyline Reservoir Coating. a. Surface Prepare entire interior and exterior of the 1 MG gallon elevated reservoir including tank, shaft, and bell in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. b. Install weather stripping on the access hatches. c. Remove the existing corroded mesh on overflow plumbing and replace with #24 corrosion resistant mesh. d. Clean and disinfect tank. Coordinate with owner for placing reservoir back into operation. 5. Northridge Water Storage. a. New jockey pump in Northridge Booster Station including, pump, piping, fittings, valves, and electrical Startup and testing of new Jockey Pump. Surface Prepare entire interior and exterior of the 750,000 gallon elevated reservoir including tank, shaft, and bell in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. Install weather stripping on access hatches. Repair coating failure with corrosion on inlet and outlet plumbing man entry. Clean and disinfect tank. Coordinate with owner for placing reservoir back into operation. Signal Hill Manway Access Enlargement. Coordinate with owner for draining the reservoir. Question Deadline 02/04/2025 Every request for such interpretation shall be via email to Kevin Newman at Kevin.Newman@HDRinc.com, and must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids in order for it to receive appropriate consideration. Remove existing access hatch, sawcut and enlarge access opening, construct concrete curb, and provide a new access hatch, and safety grating. Clean and disinfect reservoir. Coordinate with Owner for placing reservoir back into service South Canyon Reservoir. Remove existing access ladder. Furnish and install new access ladder, with fall protection system and security door as indicated on the Drawings. Provide working platform at access hatch. Modify access hatch to site at least 4 inches above the roof. Coordinate with working platform to be installed around hatch. Install weather stripping on access hatches. Modify the roof vent to terminate at least 24 inches above roof. Prep and recoat vent Pipe. Modify overflow piping to discharge 18 inches above ground. Prep and recoat overflow Pipe. Southwest Reservoir: Remove existing access ladder. Furnish and install new access ladder, with fall protection system and security door as indicated on the Drawings. Provide working platform at access hatch. Install lightning protection. North Rapid Reservoir Remove existing access ladder. Furnish and install new access ladder, with fall protection system and security door as indicated on the Drawings. Install weather stripping on access hatches. Prep and recoat roof vent pipe. 10. Robbinsdale Reservoir: Install railing along the edge of the reservoir at ladder access. 11. Plum Creek Lift Station Remove existing electrical equipment from electrical building. Salvage existing RTU and generator receptacle for reuse. Dispose of remaining electrical equipment. Site preparation including selected fence removal and grading. Demolish existing electrical building. Provide new electrical building including slab and stoop. Install salvage equipment in new electrical building and provide new electrical equipment, conduit and wiring. Extend new conduit and wiring to existing wet well pumps and level controls. Site restoration including installation of fence, reset crushed rock surfacing, and seeding.
