Site work and paving for a civil project in Vernon, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
**As of April 01, 2025, the project has not yet been awarded. The anticipated date for award is not yet determined. Question Deadline 02/18/2025 Any questions in regard to the Bid Documents shall be emailed to Dale E. Long, P.E., LEED AP at dlong@mesi-fl.com. The deadline for questions is one week prior to the bid opening date This project includes: Reconstruction of approximately 3,100 LF of roadway. Project also includes installation of underdrain pipe to aid with drainage. Any questions in regard to the Bid Documents shall be emailed to Dale E. Long, P.E., LEED AP at dlong@mesi-fl.com. The deadline for questions is one week prior to the bid opening date. A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% will be required of the successful Bidder. A Bid Bond payable to the City of Vernon for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall be filed with the proposal. The Bid Bond prepared on the forms specified and signed by a Bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Florida. Bidders shall be contractors who are normally engaged in construction and shall be licensed as may be required under existing Federal, State, and County laws. Where licensing by examination by the City of Vernon or Washington County is required, such licenses shall be obtained prior to bidding. Only bids from qualified Contractors will be considered. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time for the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any or all irregularities and informalities and to reject any or all bids. Document Notes: Specifications and Contract Documents will be made accessible by contacting Issuing office by email at dlong@mesi-fl.com or by phone at (850)428-0285. Upon the Issuing Offices receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidders delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Owners Office at 2808 Yellow Jacket Road, Vernon, FL 32462 and the Issuing Office at 8574 Turkey Bluff Road, Navarre, FL 32566 on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST.
