Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Rome, New York. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Nysdot Region - 02 This project will replace the bridges carrying NYS Route 69 over Sauquoit Creek (BIN 1009919) and Main St over Sauquoit Creek (BIN 2255640) and also remove the two bridges carrying NYS Route 69 Eastbound to NYS Route 5A Southbound over Sauquoit Creek (BIN 1051980) and NYS Route 69 Westbound to NYS Route 5A Southbound over Sauquoit Creek (BIN 1051429) located in the Villages of Whitesboro, Yorkville and New York Mills and in the Town of Whitestown, Oneida County. The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Winter 2026/2027. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2027. Construction is expected to be completed in Winter 2028/2029. As of October 04, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2027. NYDOT - Replacement of Bridges Carrying NYS Rte 69 *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability. The project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
