As of February 24, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Waltonville Community Unit School District No.1 will receive sealed bids for Roof Replacement, Waltonville Elementary School, in Waltonville, Illinois. Proposals shall be on a lump sum bid basis for work as defined in the contract documents. Proposals received after the above stated time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Proposals shall be submitted on the Proposal Form provided and shall be clearly marked on the exterior of the envelope as follows: "SEALED BID" ROOF REPLACEMENT WALTONVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WALTONVILLE CUSD NO.1 Bid security in the form of a certified check or bank draft, payable to Waltonville CUSD No. 1 or a satisfactory bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract sum to insure completion of the contract. The successful bidder is encouraged to utilize minority and female businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services and construction. Contractors shall not pay less than the locally prevailing rates of wage to all laborers, workers, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Waltonville CUSD No. 1 reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days following the opening of bids without consent of the District.
