A mandatory bid walk will not be held. The Executive grounds are open to the public. Scope Description: Contractor to pour mockup of concrete for County to approve prior to replacement. Color to match south stairs on Jefferson St. that were replaced in 2024. New stairs, sidewalls and all other concrete to match in color and finish. Existing architectural details will be documented by photograph to replicate in the new stairs. Concrete to be 4000 P.S.I. with reinforcement as needed. Existing conditions are unknown. There are no drawings for the steps. The contractor will replicate stairs and stringers, add reinforcement and all footings necessary to prevent future settling. Contractor to provide all pedestrian control and safety barricades during construction. All construction debris to be removed from the site and disposed of properly by the contractor daily. Contractor to backfill with topsoil and sod all disturbed areas with fescue sod. Landscape stakes to be used on hill areas so sod does not slip. Remove eight (8) existing concrete stair sections, stringers and newels that are identified in Exhibit B supporting details. Eight (8) new stair sections, stringers and two (2) new newels will be formed and poured to replicate the look and design of the existing stairs. The new stair sections will match the color and finish of the South stairs on Jefferson St. See Exhibit C. Procure and install four (4) new fixed bollards per manufacturing specification. Bollards to be Vestil BOL-OR-40-BK-SM or equal. Contractor must provide a submittal to the County for approval of bollard type and mounting location. General location is shown on Exhibit B and noted with a black "X". The bid number and title shall be referenced on all correspondence. No phone calls please. The time it takes for final bid results to be made public depends on the complexity of the project and the cost of the project. One [1] signed original and one [1] signed copy of the bid must be received in a sealed envelope plainly marked "25-032 Executive Full Concrete Stair Replacement" with the date and time of the bid opening in the lower left corner of the envelope.
