Renovation of a power facility in Anmore, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
This RFP is for a contract that generally includes the design, fabrication, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of a new Hydraulic Pressure Unit and cylinder to operate the Turbine Inlet Valve (TIV) at Lake Buntzen No. 1 Generating Station (LB1) located near Anmore, BC. It is intended to replace the existing Hydraulic Pressure System and cylinder that operates the Turbine Inlet Valve (TIV) at Lake Buntzen No. 1 Generating Station (LB1) with new hydraulic system to improve safety, maintainability, and long-term reliability of the generating units. A supplier, with expertise and experience, selected through a competitive bidding process, will complete the design, supply, site installation, supervision, and commissioning of the new TIV Hydraulic System and Cylinder, according to the requirements outlined in Appendix G - Specifications. The supplier may also be asked to dismantle and safely dispose the existing TIV Hydraulic System at LB1. This RFP applies to and governs the preparation of Proposals in response to this RFP. The LB1 TIV Hydraulics Upgrade project aims at replacing the TIV Hydraulic System and cylinder during the summer of 2026.
