Request for Proposals Northwest Pump Station And Reservoir Site Analysis And Platting WP2148 100085000675 Proposal Due 02-14-2025 3:00 p.m. CST Please contact the Project Engineer listed below for information, questions, coordinating site visits and upon request to provide you with a Project Information Packet. Sr. Design Engineer - Water Operations Metropolitan Utilities District 3100 S. 61st Ave. Omaha, NE 68106 (402) 504-0455 bob_taylor@mudnebr.com The scope of services includes the following: Task 1 - Survey and Site Analysis (Due Diligence) Boundary Survey of Douglas County Parcel 0122570012 Legal Description of the 20+/- acre portion to be purchased by MUD ALTA Survey. MUD will provide the title commitment. Topographic survey Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Wetland Delineation Survey Report (include areas adjacent but outside of the 20- acres that could be impacted by construction of 195 th St., State St. widening, or off-site storm sewer improvements) Geotechnical Exploration Report: evaluate the suitability of the site for the two atgrade storage tanks. Provide recommendations for 30' and 40' sidewall depths. Complete at least two 50' deep geotechnical borings. Collect samples and conduct necessary laboratory testing. Task 2 - Platting and Zoning Plat documents and application required to subdivide the property. Preliminary Plat and required exhibits (including but not limited to: paving and storm plan, paving profiles, storm sewer plan, grading plan, etc.). Preliminary drainage report. Final Plat. City of Omaha subdivision agreement exhibits. Rezoning application and site plan submittal. Special use permit application exhibits and narrative. Respond to and resolve city staff comments. Include three (3) meetings with City of Omaha for pre-application, presentation for the planning commission, and presentation to city council. Task 3 - Improvement Design required to Final Plat Mass Grading Plan and SWPPP Douglas County grade coordination cross-sections for State St. 195 th St. Public Paving and Storm Sewer Plans and Specs (Assume 195 th is a local road). State St. widening Plans and Specs (assume 3-lane rural section along the property frontage, extending east and west as necessary for tapers) Final Drainage Report City and DCE submittal and approvals. Preliminary Estimate of Improvements Costs Engineers Estimate of Improvement Costs Exclude Sanitary Sewer improvements - sanitary sewers are not expected to be required. Task 4 - Preliminary Pump Station and Reservoir Design Include three (3) meetings with District representatives to gather information about District preferences and needs. This will include reviewing existing similar District facilities (132 nd and Harney St., Rainwood Rd., and Skyline Reservoirs) with District staff to identify preferences and discuss past "lessons learned". Design site driveways, parking areas, and turnaround areas large enough to allow easy turnaround of District maintenance vans and trucks. Refine site plan and layout. Establish finished floor elevation of the pump station and base of the tanks. Maximize the elevation of the base of the tanks as much as practical. Locate pump station finished floor at an elevation below to improve suction pressure and reduce deadstorage. Provide recommendations for overflow pond size. Analyze and recommend suction, discharge, and fill line pipe diameters. Layout future expansion adding for the second phase 12MG storage tank and a building addition to house 4 additional pumps. Develop preliminary electrical design including provisions for future expansion with phase 2 and standby power capable of operating at least 1/2 of the station pumps (narrative and one line drawing - see below). Request power extension cost estimate and timing from OPPD.
