The Board of Regents of Victoria University is seeking to retain an elevator contractor for the Isabel Bader Theatre Elevator Modernization project located at 93 Charles St. W., Toronto, Ontario, M5S 1K5 on the Victoria University campus. The project consists of the modernization of ONE (1) Passenger Elevator designated as Passenger Elevator 1. The Elevator lobbies shall be equipped with a single riser of hall buttons as well as designated fire, emergency power (if applicable) and key switches as indicated within the Scope of Work (as defined below), Technical Specifications, Section 14 20 00 and required by the Regulatory Requirements as defined below. 1. The current rated capacity, speed (FPM) and openings shall remain the same. 2. All operational parameters such as flight times, dwell times etc. shall be per industry standard for this type of building but may be adjusted to reflect site specific needs as required and requested by the Owner or Consultant keeping same within reasonable equipment allowable limits. 3. New equipment to be installed should be sized appropriately and operate within the existing capacity of the electrical feeds. 1) In situations where this is impractical or impossible, the Contractor shall inform the Consultant prior to ordering the relevant equipment so that a correction can be made. 2) Should the Contractor fail to notify the Consultant as above, all costs to correct same shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.
