Renovation of a municipal facility in Charleston, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The project involves a partial renovation of the Kanawha County Judicial Building, 111 Court Street, Charleston, WV 25301. Approximately 4,945 sf of renovations on the fifth floor of the building and a limited amount of related mechanical work on the building roof are included in the bid documents. The Judicial Building will conduct business throughout the construction process. All construction is assumed to be conducted 5 days a week from 6am to 6pm. A certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid, or a satisfactory Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the state of West Virginia in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid must be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide a Performance Bond, a Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the contract award, and a Maintenance Bond. Prime Contractors and Subcontractors shall be licensed in compliance with SB409 (WV Contractor's Licensing Act). All General Contractors shall provide a copy of their WV Contractor's license and include their license number in the space provided on the Bid Form.
