Contractor will be responsible for Full-service Grounds Maintenance in order to keep a neat appearance as follows: Daily: Remove litter, leaf and stick litter from lawns, parking lot, walkways and sidewalks Not less than once per week: Mow, trim, blow as needed; all lawn areas, sidewalks, walkways and parking lot. As needed: Trim bushes, hedges, tall grass, weed flowerbeds and walkways 2x year: Spring and Fall, flower bed prep and planting. Plants to be determined. Fertilize and seed all lawn areas. 1x year: Spring, flower bed, tree and Baily Park & Unity Garden mulching 1x year: Full leaf cleanup Personal inspection of the conditions of the work and the work site will be necessary to obtain information to prepare the proposal. No allowance will be made for any claim that a proposal was made on incomplete information, including, but not limited to the nature and character of the site or work involved. The Town does not guarantee the accuracy of any data given concerning the work site or the conditions of the work. The contract shall be for one season, commencing on April 1, 2025 and terminating on November 31, 2025. The contract may be extended by the Town of Somers for two additional seasons with a no more than 2% increase per season increase over the previous season. In the event that the contractor terminates the contract prior to the completion of the season in violation of this contract, the parties agree that it will be impractical or extremely difficult to fix the amount of the Town's damages. Accordingly, in such event, the contractor agrees that it shall be liable to the Town for the full amount payable by the Town to the contractor under the contract for the full season term, less any amount which the town has actually paid to the contractor hereunder, as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. The Town of Somers reserves the right, in its discretion to award the contract in part, in whole and to reject any or all proposals or to waive any informality or irregularity in the proposals received.
