The scope of work includes selective demolition, new wood framing and trim, sheet metal flashing and gutters, do9wnspouts, metal panel roofing system, sealants, painting, hazardous material abatement, miscellaneous repairs to existing cement plaster soffit, and miscellaneous related work The Deadline to Submit Requests for Clarification of the Requirements of This Ifb is on February 4, 2025. All Clarification Requests Shall Be Submitted via online Questions and Answers Section, and All Responses Shall Be Issued in an Addendum. Requests for substitutions regarding the IFB and its requirements, must be submitted to the Technical Representative of the Procurement Officer (TRPO), Troy Samura via E-mail at tsamura@hawaii.edu no later than February 4, 2025. In a continuing effort to make government more efficient and "paperless," the University of Hawaii will no longer be accepting hard copies of bids This solicitation contains attachments that bidders must download (open, save, or print documents(s) on their own computer system), enter pricing where indicated, complete any other required information, sign all appropriate forms, and attach (upload) the completed forms to the online response. To Be Eligible to Bid, Bidders Must Possess a Valid State of Hawaii Contractor's License B. Bids From Contractors Not Licensed in the State of Hawaii Will Not Be Considered. In Addition, Bidders Must Either Possess or List Subcontractors Who Possess Specialty Contractor Licenses for the Specialty Work Required for This Project. The Bidder Shall Be Solely Responsible For Insuring That All Specialty Licenses Required to Complete the Project Are Covered in Its Bid. Failure to List All Required Subcontractors May Be Grounds for Disqualification. Chapter 103b, Hrs Employment of State Residents on Construction Procurement Contracts Which Requires the Contractor and Applicable Subcontractor(S) to Ensure That Hawaii Residents Compose Not Less Than 80% of the Workforce Employed to Perform the Contract on a Particular Construction Project Applies to This Project. Certification of Compliance for Employment of State Residents (Exhibit a) in the General Provisions Along With a Schedule of Values, Should Be Submitted Prior to Award.
