Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Mexico, Missouri. Working plans call for the construction of a 3,200-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of furnishing material, labor, equipment, and other incidentals needed for successfully erecting and finishing a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB), approximately 3200 sq. ft, at the City's WWTP. Question Deadline 02/17/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to the Public Works Department. Questions received less than 3 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. All equipment, materials and workmanship must be in accordance with the drawings and specifications on file with the Public Works Director, City of Mexico, 300 N. Coal, City of Mexico, Missouri 65265. Questions should be directed to the Public Works Department at 573.581.2100 x 3. No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 60 days after the date of opening of bids. A certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. The City of Mexico hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award. If this contract involves the construction, reconstruction, demolition, painting, or major repair of any facility of the City, Bidder shall provide a ten (10) hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees within 60 Days of award of the contract. Failure to provide training and maintain documentation of the training, may result in penalties under RSMO 292.675. Missouri Department of Labor Standards regarding payment of Prevailing Wage Rates shall be followed and meet the Prevailing Wage Rates set forth by the annual wage order in effect at the time of advertisement. The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder complying with the Conditions of the Contract Documents within the Owner's budget. The Bidder to whom the awards are made will be notified at the earliest possible date. The Owner; however, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in their interest.
