This specification is for the supply, treatment, inspection, and delivery of 100% creosote treated dimensional structural lumber for our bridge timber sales. Contact Person Butch Howard Partsman Method of Contact bhoward@lacombecounty.com Address 40403 Range Road 274 RR 3 Lacombe, Alberta Canada T4L 2N3 The supplier shall provide for inspection of the material by an independent inspector who is qualified and has a minimum of 10 years of experience for this type of inspection. All material shall be inspected prior to and after the treatment. All facilities and reasonable assistance shall be afforded by the supplier, free of cost, to the inspection firm to allow for the inspection of the materials. A written report from the inspector along with his experience and qualifications indicating the material meets the specifications with a "Certificate of Compliance" shall be forwarded to Lacombe County prior to shipping the materials. Material shall be seasoned and incised in accordance with Subsection 3, Air Seasoning, Subsection 4, Kiln Drying, and Subsection 5, Incising, and pressure treated using 100 % creosote treatment. The retention shall be 96 kg/m3 (6 lb/ft3 ) by gauge, 128 kg/m3 (8 lb/ft3 ) by assay.
