Roof Replacements at Lebanon Airport The City of Lebanon invites sealed proposals for roof replacements in accordance with the specifications and bidding instructions set forth in this Request for Proposals. The intent of this Request for Proposals and resulting contract is to provide the City of Lebanon with information concerning two (2) roof replacements at the City of Lebanon Airport. The City of Lebanon is seeking proposals for the replacement of TWO (2) roofs for the City of Lebanon Airport Hangar and Old Terminal located at 750 Franklin Road, Lebanon, Tennessee. The purpose of this document is to explain work description and job requirements for the purpose of acquiring bids for the replacement of two (2) existing roofs. Any questions in regards to this proposal should be directed to Lisa Lane, Purchasing Agent, (615) 443-2802. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive information, irregularities, and technicalities in the process. The City may negotiate separately with any source in any manner necessary to arrive at a contract agreement that is in the best interest of the city. SCOPE OF WORK FOR METAL ROOF RETROFIT (HANGAR): LOCATED AT 750 FRANKLIN ROAD Remove the existing skylight panels and install a 24-ga. galvalume panel over the skylight openings. o Remove the four ridge louver vents and install a 24-ga. galvalume ridge cap to cover the vent holes. o Confirmation that the ridge vents are no longer in use before removal. o Install EPS flute fill insulation between the robs of the metal roof system. Mechanically attach a 1/2 inch high-density cover board over the metal roof to create a suitable surface for the new roof membrane. o Mechanically install Duro-Tuff 50 mil PVC membrane over the entire roof system by installing induction welding plates, spaced to meet wind uplift requirements. Hot-air weld all membrane seams and probe the seams to ensure a proper bond has occurred. o Hot-air weld PVC 2-way vents to the roof membrane every 1000 square feet as required by the manufacturer. o Install a two-piece compression metal along the rake edges of the roof (Almond color). o Install a PVC coated drip edge where the roof system meets the gutters. Weld the drip edge skirt to the roof membrane. o Provide onsite supervision for the duration of the roof installation to monitor the installation and manage expectations o Clean-up job thoroughly and properly dispose of all debris. o Provide a minimum Duro-Last 20-year NDL warranty (labor & material) with the membrane roof system. The membrane manufacturer will also conduct inspections during the installation process. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
