A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Contractor's sealed proposals for the construction of Crow Wing County Jail Re-roof will be received by the Owner in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by: architect Envelopes containing bids must be sealed, clearly marked on the lower left-hand corner Bid Enclosed for Crow Wing County Jail Re-roof and with the name and address of the bidder and the date and hour of the opening. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project involves the reroofing of approximately 63,000 sq. ft. of the Crow Wing County Jail Building, consisting of the following: Demolition of the existing roof ballast, EPDM membrane and coverboard; Providing and installing a new EPDM ballasted roof system, along with new coverboard, adding additional wood blocking to the roof perimeter and tightening up the gaps in the existing insulation. The work includes new sheet metal coping, flashing and caps, and adjusting the existing roof drain heights. Alternate #1 for this project with included the addition of structural steel beams, metal decking and fully adhered EPDM roof system that will enclose the existing dumpster area. Each bid must be accompanied with a cashier s check, bid bond, U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) or certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal. Security is payable to the Owner as a guarantee of prompt execution of the contract in accordance with the proposal and Contract documents, along with furnishing Payment and Performance Bonds of One Hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount acceptable to the Owner. Bids may not be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids without consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and rebid the project until a satisfactory bid is received No bid will be read or considered if the bid does not fully comply with the requirements of this invitation and/or other bidding and contract documents. Any deficient bid submitted will be resealed and returned to the bidder immediately.
