Renovation of a residential development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Question Deadline 02/10/2025 Any vendor questions not asked during the site visit must be submitted in writing to: Brooklyn.CMM.Bids@opwdd.ny.gov Kitchen renovation. The Vendor to supply and install all Materials and Labor to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 14 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned, and all materials secured at the end of each workday. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of Kitchen Renovation, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent. Important: This NYS/OPWDD residential home is and will be occupied during construction work. All provisions must be made to minimize disruption and keep the home safe for occupants. No egress routes shall be blocked at any time. Materials and debris must be protected for safety. Contractor must comply with all applicable NYS codes. SCOPE OF WORK Includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1 Contractor shall verify the actual measurements and condition of work to be done to ensure a complete and accurate job. Contractor to supply all labor, material and equipment to complete work. 2 The work area inside the Kitchen must be covered with 3mm plastic during Demolition stage of work to keep adjacent rooms of the home free of any dust and debris. 3 Remove existing ceiling, supply and install new framing as needed, Supply and install 5/8" sheetrock on ceiling. 4 Remove existing ceiling light fixtures to receive installation of new light fixtures. 5 Supply and install 6 new LED high hats in ceiling. 6 Contractor to replace all existing outlets, switches and plates. 7 Contractor to Remove all existing kitchen cabinets, countertops, sink, rangehood and all other debris and discard offsite daily. 8 Remove and set aside all existing Kitchen appliances for reuse. 9 Inspect and test condition of Plumbing Pipes, for leaks. Replace all associated plumbing return and supply lines as needed if leaks are found. 10 Supply and install, all water supply lines with new flexible braided stainless-steel metal hoses that will be hooked up to the sink and dishwasher. 11 Test and secure all existing kitchen appliances for proper operation and reuse. Contractor to Reinstall Kitchen appliances upon completion of job. Test and inspect to ensure all appliances are working with no leaks, if any Appliances are found not working, Contractor must inform BDDSO immediately so proper action can be taken to replace non-working appliance before contractor completes the job. 12 The existing walls and ceilings in complete kitchen will be repaired/patched as required for proper finish and to receive new paint. Apply 2 coats of Benjamin Moore Paint or equal on complete walls and ceiling, Color to be Chosen by homes TTL. 13 All existing electrical outlets inside the Kitchen replaced must be GFIC 5-15R with tamper resistant screws. All outlets shall have new face plates installed and tested for proper operation. 14 Supply and install under cabinet Led lighting with independent light switch. 15 All electrical work to be inspected by a licensed third-party electrician, and electrical inspection certificate provided to the DDSO. Contractor to figure the cost into their quote. All electrical work to conform to NYS electrical code. 16 Supply and install Life Proof or equal Vinyl Floor Planking in 7MM thickness with appropriate floor mastic over existing flooring to create a solid level floor inside the Kitchen. Patch and repair all areas of the floor receiving new Vinyl Floor Planks as necessary. 17 All fire and life safety devices must not to be removed during the ongoing work. Smoke detectors, Heat detectors and all life safety devices must be kept covered and protected during ongoing work daily. Smoke detectors, Heat Detectors are to be uncovered and put back in service at the end of each Day. 18 Supply and install new Saddle at the entrance of the Kitchen, Saddle to match existing. 19 Supply and install new Quarter round molding, Apply 2 coats of Benjamin Moore Paint or equal on all newly installed Quarter round molding and existing wall moldings for a complete finish. 20 Supply and install new 3/4 " Solid Wood Wall cabinets and Base Cabinets with NO Single Pull handle. Cabinets to match existing sizes and layout. Cabinets to have hardwood faces and sides with finger grooves to open and close cabinet doors and draws. No particle board cabinets or Veneer will be accepted. 21 Supply and install 4" vinyl base trim below on all Base Cabinets 22 Supply and install new 18-gauge single bowl stainless steel Sink 10" deep with Gooseneck faucet and spray hose Delta or Moen or equal no Glacier Bay products to be accepted. 23 Supply and install new solid Quartz Countertop. Countertop's to be installed shall follow the existing layout and installed to manufactures specifications. Counter to have a 4" back splash. 24 Supply and install ceramic tile from bottom of the cabinet to the top of the backsplash. Color to be chosen by the homes TTL. 25 Caulk and seal all penetrations, crevices, and gap's where there are any openings. 26 The walls behind the stove are to be primed and painted, any holes, gaps or penetrations are to be caulked and sealed. 27 Colors of the new Kitchen Cabinets, Kitchen Quartz Countertop, Tile Backsplash, Flooring and Paint for the walls and ceiling to be chosen by the homes TTL. 28 Supply and install New In-Kind Recirculating Range hood. 29 Contractor is to supply a 3-year warranty on all work. All debris must be removed daily. Winning bidders quote shall be valid for 60 days from day winning bid has been received. All work must not interfere with day-to-day operation. Contractor to provide 1 million in insurance liability coverage. ALL work to conform with NYS Building Codes.
