Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Menahga, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Project Overview MnDOT requests letters of interest for a full depth reclamation including guardrail upgrades, culvert replacements, ADA updates, and urban reconstruction on US 71 through the city of Menahga including city sanitary and storm sewer replacements. This Professional Technical contract will provide the State preliminary engineering services to develop a staff approved level 2 Geometric layout and approved environmental document (Categorical Exclusion [CATEX]). The geometric layout will be accompanied by a detailed set of cross sections and construction limits developed in Bentley Open Roads Design software to support Right of Way (ROW) acquisition and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process and permitting. This Professional Technical contract will also provide the State final design services to develop a final biddable plan, specification, and estimate package to bring the project to letting on time on January 26, 2028 within budget Project Goal The goal of this project is to develop a biddable final plan-set and special provisions for State Project 8005-22 on Trunk Highway (TH) 71/87 to be delivered on schedule and within budget including all Municipal, State, and Federal approvals, preparation for State acquired ROW acquisition, permitting, and project utility relocations.
