Southern Ohio Correctional Facility (SOCF) is an adult maximum-security prison facility operated by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC). SOCF was constructed in 1968 and is comprised of approximately 37 buildings on 1,625 acres. The facility is located at 1724 St. Rt. 728 Lucasville, OH 45699. It 's the intent to replace existing boilers that provide heat for the entire facility, and steam for food service, laundry and hot water throughout. Provide additional boiler for warm weather operations for food service, laundry and hot water independent of the two facility boilers. Work to remove chillers and add additional boilers as replacement. Existing turbines to be upgraded or replaced to meet current needs and standards. Design to accommodate the need to work on individual boilers separately during off peak use and maintain one running boiler at all times. Modify or upgrade of plant control systems. In addition, we want to continue phase 3 of replacing the cold water main for the facility in the tunnels. Full plant and piping assessment related to the power plant regarding MEP function. For projects advertised with an appropriately developed Program of Requirements ("POR"), upon award of the Agreement, commence with Design. For projects without such a POR, upon award of the Agreement, commence by developing the Program of Requirements. The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the A/E Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth & Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: Program Verification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support, Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types Project Location Southern Ohio Correctional Institition
