Street Chip Seal Project All construction of the project shall conform to the current Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges. A Proposal Guaranty, which is required to accompany the Proposal, may be a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or a Bank Draft in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid amount. A 10% Bid Bond, in lieu of the 5% check or draft may be submitted. Both should be made payable to the Town of Langford. All work must be completed on or before October 1, 2025. The Town of Langford reserves the right to the following: Award a bid on the opening date, hold the bids for up to 30-days for further review by the Town Board, reject any and all bids, waive any informality in any bid, or accept any bid considered advantageous to the Town. Scope of Work for Street Chip Seal Project; Project A and Option A.1 The following list, items 1 through 9, must include materials and application: 1. Mobilization 2. Traffic Control 3. Sweeping (pre-seal) 4. Asphalt Seal (CRS-2P @ 0.35 gal/sy) or approve equivalent 5. Aggregate (3/8" IB granite chip @ 22-25lbs per sy) 6. Rolling (3 passes min.) 7. Double Chip Seal---same as items 4, 5, and 6 8. Pickup sweeping of excess Aggregate 9. Fog Seal (CSS-IH @ 0.05 gal/sy-undiluted) The above Scope line items (1 through 9) will be used by bidders to determine quantity, unit price (or lump sum), and total price for Project A and Option A.1 separately. Any additional line items, submitted by the bidder, must be included in the total price, which total price will be the determining factor for the award of a bid or rejection of all bids. In addition to all Bids being signed and dated, they shall indicate construction firm and agent. All work shall be completed according to the most current SD DOT Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges.
