Renovation of a parking garage in Chicago, Illinois. Working plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
As of August 1,2025, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. Question Deadline 02/05/2025 at 5:00 PM CT CONTRACT SPECIFIC GOALS: MBE 26% WBE 6% Project Location: 3300 E. Cheltenham Place. Chicago, IL 60649. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following for the Low Lift Pump Building ("LLPB"), Chemical Building and Garage: 1. Limestone wall panel and coping stone repairs and restoration and cleaning of existing limestone. 2. Repointing of limestone wall panel and coping stone joints required for repairs and restorations. Removal of existing built-up roof membrane, insulation and associated flashing (to substrate). 4. Installation of a new modified bitumen roof membrane, insulation and associated flashings, roof drains, expansion joints and accessories. 5. Installation of new metal coping cap over the existing limestone coping. 6. Masonry repair work associated with brick parapets in conjunction with roof repairs. 7. Installation of new flashings and equipment curbs to all existing and new roof top penetrations, mechanical equipment, exhaust fans, gravity ventilators, and piping. 8. Relocation of existing grounding cable at roof of Chemical Building in association with Antenna relocation. 9. Removal and re-installation of existing equipment, piping and roof drains to facilitate the new roof membrane installation and wall repairs. 10. New exhaust ventilators at the roof of the LLPB, Pump Room. 11. Removal of the existing precast concrete roof channel slabs at the LLPB above the Pump Room and Screen Room. 12. Installation of new precast concrete roof channel slabs at the LLPB above the Pump Room and Screen Room to match the existing channel slabs. 13. Protection of the LLPB building interior, equipment and pumps for the Pump Room and Screen Room during the precast roof channel slab removal and installation of new roof planks. 14. Complete removal of the existing steel and precast channel slab canopy and steel hoist system on the East face of the Chemical Building at elevation +17. Includes removal on the exterior and interior, and associated repairs. 15. Removal and replacement of broken glass block units to match existing. Repointing all joints. 16. Repairs to and painting of existing hollow metal doors at the east wall of the Chemical Building 17. Environmental abatement in isolated areas of the three (3) buildings based upon the Environmental Report attached as Appendix "A" to Book 3, in the Contract Documents, and titled "Report for Asbestos and Lead-Based Paint Survey". 18. Removal, relocation and re-installation of existing Antenna on the Chemical Building roof and associated cable work. 19. Retrofit of existing aluminum window wall on the West elevation of the LLPB to accommodate new operable aluminum windows. 20. Removal of and installation of new floor expansion joints in Screen Room and associated quarry tile and concrete work. 21. Installation of new bird screen at overhead door on the West elevation of the LLPB. 22. Restoration of Greenstone Relief Panel depicting the Great Lakes on the East face of the LLPB. (Noted on drawings and in the specifications) 23. New galvanized steel ladder on the Chemical Building Pipe Bridge. 24. Miscellaneous painting of ferrous metal at exterior (doors, ladder, louvers, etc.) 25. New sealants where indicated. 26. Protection of existing buildings and site conditions in concert with the proposed work. 27. Comply with vehicle load limitations on site per Site Plan sheet G-004. 28. Provide job site contractor trailer at designated location indicated on Site Plan and installation of temporary electrical service feed to trailer. 29. Selective demolition of existing plaster ceilings for inspection openings and install of new gypsum board ceiling repairs in areas of LLPB with plaster or gypsum board ceilings as required by the contractor to perform the roof panel removal and replacement work. 30. Quarry tile floor work at LLPB pump floor EL. -9'-0" and screen room EL. +13'-6". 31. Repairs to existing limestone wall panels at the west terrace wall of the CHE building. 32. Miscellaneous concrete repairs at Screen Room, Antenna Roof and LLPB Tower. 33. Demolition and removal of existing fiberglass duct work at Chemical Building Level +71.5' at roof. CONTRACT TERM: 504 Calendar Days
