Furnishing of all labor, materials, and all else necessary for the following: NPPWD PFAS TREATMENT PLANT The project Base Bid consists of the construction of a new 9.1 MGD water treatment facility for the removal of PFAS contamination. The facility consists of raw water piping, treatment, clearwell storage, high service pumping, chemical storage and dosing, wastewater storage and pumping, standby power generation, and controls integration. The facility also includes a conference room, laboratory and office space, bathrooms, and other electrical and mechanical spaces and associated equipment. Site improvements to accommodate the facility include raw and finished water piping, sanitary piping, site utilities, exterior lighting, fencing, pavement, curb and gutter, landscaping, irrigation, stormwater management, and other scopes as defined in the contract documents. The equipment for PFAS removal (vessels and GAC media) will be bid as Alternate A. Additional work associated with existing Wellhouses 3 and 7 will be bid as Alternate B. This includes the demolition of existing Wellhouse 3, rehabilitation of Well 3, a new Wellhouse 3 facility and pumping equipment, and modifications to Wellhouse 7 and its existing pumping equipment. These Bid Alternates are further defined in the contract documents. Neither the State of Illinois nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this invitation for bids or any resulting contract. Any bids failing to include compliance items properly completed will not be read and will not be considered. Attention is called to the fact that not less than minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project, and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of the bids without consent of the North Park Public Water District for a period of 60 calendar days after the scheduled time of receiving bids. North Park Public Water District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, or to accept any or all bids, or any part thereof, or to waive any formalities in any bids, deemed in the interest of North Park Public Water District.
