Security Vestibule Phase I A brief description of work in the project as follows: The project consists of upgrades to existing school entrances to provide a secure entry sequence. Each school has a unique solution, but generally the scope of work involves either the relocation of or addition of a new wall to create a vestibule at the main entrance which provides a controlled visitor entry sequence. Using video intercom on the exterior of the school, the visitor will request entrance into the facility, where they will be vetted before being allowed access to the remainder of the school. Scope of work includes provisions to cut new doors in existing walls, replace existing doors, and replace limited areas of floors, ceilings and repainting. There is one school which will require replacement of and adding a new storefront framing system. There will be some relocation of tackboards and signage. Electrical work includes the installation of technology to control access to the school, and minor relocation of electrical and mechanical equipment to accommodate the new vestibule configurations.
