Scope of Work: Salem Village Mobile Home Park 1. Approximately 5000 feet of boring 2. Approximately 7000 feet of 2-inch conduit 3. Approximately 1600 feet of 4-inch conduit 4. Approximately 13 small junction boxes (9.5" W x 14 L x 12 H 5. Approximately 12 transformer pads (42" W x 42" L x 18" H) 6. Approximately 4 primary pull boxes (24" L x 24" W x 24" H) All workmanship shall be of a professional quality and standard as generally accepted in the trade. All workmanship is subject to inspection and approval by the City of Salem. 2. The Successful Bidder shall be responsible for traffic control. 3. The equipment used shall be of a type specifically designed for directional boring and conduit, of sufficient capacity and quality to safely and effectively perform the indicated work, in a safe and productive manner. 4. Conduit: a. Conduit specifications shall: i. Be Schedule 40 HDPE, color red. ii. iii. Be solid smooth wall outside and ribbed inside. Have pull tape installed. 4 iv. Lube duct pre-lubricated (Lamson Pipe) or approved equal. v. Be approved by the City. b. Couplings or splices shall not be used in continuous pulls unless approved by City personnel. c. All conduit runs will consist of 4-inch and/or 2-inch conduits. d. The Successful Bidder shall supply all conduits and accessories. e. All conduit pulls must be made in the presence of City personnel. f. All installation lubricants used shall be manufacturer-recommended. g. All conduits in junction boxes and transformer pads shall have bell ends installed. h. Elbows shall be PVC schedule 40, 2-inch to have a 36-inch radius, and 4-inch to have a 48-inch radius. i. Primary riser poles shall have ridged elbows 4 inches below grade, plugged, and left exposed. 5. Junction Boxes and Transformer Pads a. Junction boxes: i. Will be various sizes. ii. iii. To be installed by Successful Bidder. Shall have 12 inches of clean 57 aggregate beneath. iv. To be installed at existing grade. b. Transformer pads to be installed 6 inches above grade. c. The quantity and size of junction boxes and transformer pads will be determined from drawings and supplied by the City to the Successful Bidder. Plan Holders List not maintained.
