Renovation of a municipal facility in Warren, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Estimated Budget is $100,000. Proposals will be received for wood window repair, decorative sheet metal cornice repair, and interior plaster repair at the Bradley County Courthouse, Warren, Arkansas. A certified Bid Tabulation will be produced and distributed as quickly as is practical following the bid opening. A five percent (5%) corporate Bid Bond or a certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany all submitted bids on construction contracts that exceed $20,000.00 in accordance with ACA 22-9-203. Bidders must comply with all requirements of Contractors Licensing Laws of the State of Arkansas, Act 150 of 1965, as amended, and Arkansas Code 22- 9-204 section 3.6(a). A Performance and Payment Bond, equal to the amount of the contract, and issued by a surety approved by the owner and authorized to do business in the State of Arkansas will be required of the successful bidder. Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. 22-9-203, the Owner encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. Proposals which fail to comply fully with any provision of the Plans, Specifications and other Contract Documents will be considered invalid and will not receive consideration. Prime Bidders obtaining bid documents from sources other than the Architect shall notify the Architect to ensure receipt of any addenda that might be issued. The bid may not be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to date of receipt of the bid without written consent of Owner. General Contractors and Subcontractors submitting bids shall be licensed by the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board and shall comply with requirements ofContractor's Licensing Law of State ofArkansas, (ACA 17-22-101). License shall be current on the day ofthe bid submittal. All bonds on this Project shall comply with Arkansas Statutoiy Performance and Payment Bond Law Arkansas Code Annotated 18-44-503. All Contractors shall conform to the requirements of Arkansas Code Annotated 17-25-101, Arkansas Contractors Licensing Law for Contractors. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. Proposals which fail to comply fully with any provisions ofthe Specifications and other Contract Documents will be considered invalid and will not receive consideration. In submitting this Proposal, Contractor agrees: 1. To accept provisions ofthe Instructions to Bidders and Summary ofthe Work; 2. To accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract Documents; 3. To start construction of this contract upon receipt of Notice to Proceed and achieve Final Completion no later than May 1, 2025. 4. If the Project fails to achieve Final Completion within the required time, the Contractor hereby agrees to pay the sum of $250.00 per calendar day as liquidated damages for each day Final Completion is delayed.
