The Project includes the following Work: Installation of approx. 4,515 LF of 8-inch water line to replace existing 1-inch, 2-inch, and 6-inch water lines. The work also includes the installation of fire hydrants and gate valves throughout and the installation of new service leads and replacement of existing water meters. Work is located in the Oak Glen Subdivision. Key Map No. 413-E. The successful Bidder must furnish PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT BONDS on the forms furnished with the PROPOSAL, in the amount of 100% of the total contract price. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. All qualified bidders will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended by Executive Order 11375, and Supplemental in Department of Labor regulations 41 CFR part 60. This project will be federally funded by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Department through the Harris County Housing and Community Development (HCHCD). Applicable requirements include, but are not limited to, compliance with Davis-Bacon Act, Fair Labor Standards Equal Employment Opportunity, Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, Affirmative Action, contracting with small, minority and disadvantaged firms (HUB/MWBE), and the Build America Buy America (BABA) Act defined in 2 CFR 184.3, as detailed in the contract documents.
