The Town Council (Council) ofthe Town of Summitville will receive sealed bids for the following project: Resurfacing the following streets with asphalt: 7th, John, Railroad, and Delaware Streets. Proposals received after the bid opening process has begun will be returned to the respective bidder unopened. The Council will refer all opened bids to the appropriate body for review and evaluation. Plans and specifications will be available from the Clerk-Treasurer's office by request. A bid, proposal, or quotation submitted by a trust (as defined in IC30-4-l-l(a)) must identify each beneficiary of the trust and each settlor empowered to revoke or modify the trust. Bids must be submitted on the State Board of Accounts' current BID FORM 96. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Indiana, payable without condition, to the Town of Summitville, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and surety company in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The bidder must explain any deviation from the bid documents. The Council shall require each bidder to submit a financial statement, a statement of experience, plans for performing the work, and the equipment the bidder has available to do the work. Each bidder shall comply with IC 5-16-13-11 and the provisions, including E-Verify laws. The Council will award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The Council reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities and to reject any and all bids or portions thereof. The project's awarding of this construction contract will be subject to the Town of Summitville having sufficient funds available.
