Site work and paving for a road / highway in The Colony, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The scope of work consists of removing and replacing damaged sub-grade and concrete pavement and damaged concrete curb and gutter at various locations along Newton Street from N. Colony Blvd. to Ethridge Drive (2,000 feet), and Nash Drive from Main Street to John Yates Drive (3200 feet). After panel repairs have been completed, grind off 1-inch of the existing concrete pavement at a width of 33 feet and place a 2-inch thick by 33 feet wide Hot-mix asphalt pavement overlay on both Newton Street and Nash Drive. Work shall include all components necessary for the concrete and subgrade repairs, asphalt resurfacing of Newton Street and Nash Drive and any other work deemed necessary by the City of The Colony. The Contractor shall also be responsible for asphalt repairs and crack sealing for a period of two (2) years from the date of acceptance. All of the above shall be done in accordance with TxDOT Standard Specifications for Construction and Maintenance of Highways, Streets, and Bridges Manual and NCTCOG specifications with the City of The Colony's Addenda and as per instructions of the City of The Colony City Engineer. All construction sequencing and barricading will be done according to the City of The Colony Standards.
