Flooring Replacements As Needed Contractor is required to perform the following: 1. Remove old flooring 2. Prep flooring surface for new flooring 3. Install approved flooring product 4. Clean up work area and dispose of old flooring Contract work shall be completed on an as-needed basis. Invoicing shall be submitted to BCS Maintenance Department following completion of each flooring installation project. The Board of Education reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time for unsatisfactory performance. Contract valid in one-year increments ONLY not to exceed three years. Proposal Evaluation and Award of Contract All proposals satisfying the requirements of this RFP will be evaluated to establish which of the bidders best fulfills the needs of the Owner and this project. This RFP does not commit the Owner to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of the quotation, or to contract for the goods and/or services offered. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received because of this request, to rescind this RFP, if it is in the best interests of the Owner to do so. An award will be made in the best interest of the Berkeley County Board of Education. Submit all required documents Online. Contract & Renewal Option The awarded contract will run from May 1st, 2025 through April 30th, 2026. Berkeley County Schools reserves the right to extend the initial one (1) year contract for up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods at the bid pricing. Any extension will be subject to acceptable vendor performance and a signed renewal agreement.
