Site work and renovation of a fire / police facility in Lloydminster, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

The City of Lloydminster (City) is seeking Quotations from qualified Vendors to complete all necessary Work associated with extending the City's fibre optic network. The Work will be between the intersection of 44 Street and 40 Avenue and Fire Station #1, located at 3752 - 47 Street, as well as between City Hall and 52 Avenue. In 2024, the City completed Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project. Phase 1 included the installation of conduit and associated vaults between the intersection of 44 Street and 49 Avenue and the Cenovus Energy Hub Event Centre. Phase 2 included the installation of additional conduit and vaults followed by the supply and installation of fibre optic cable, splices, and patch panels/terminations within the conduit. The Phase 3 Work will connect the existing fibre optic network to Fire Station #1 as well as the Traffic Controller Cabinet at the intersection of 44 Street and 52 Avenue. As part of Phase 1, two (2) 50mm HDPE conduits were installed under 44 Street (Highway 16) between the vault at the 40 Avenue and 44 Street intersection and the Traffic Controller Cabinet. One of the conduits was extended into the Traffic Controller Cabinet, with the other capped and buried south of the Traffic Controller Cabinet. It is the expectation of the City that the successful Vendor will connect to this existing conduit and extend the network north along 40 Avenue towards Fire Station #1. In addition to this, a vault was placed within the landscaped boulevard north of 44 Street where the successful Vendor will be required to enter this existing vault and extend the network west along 44 Street to 52 Avenue and connect the network to the intersections Traffic Controller Cabinet. The successful Vendor will be required to supply all tools, equipment, materials, labour and supervision required to complete all construction and testing activities needed to extend the City's fibre optic network. Splice connections within an existing Fibre Optic Splice Case at the 40 Avenue and 44 Street intersection will be part of this Scope of Work. Within the vault south of City Hall, the successful Vendor will be required to supply and install a new Fibre Optic Splice Case.
