The project shall be lump sum and consists of the following work described for retrofits to the structural framing of the Kerr County Indoor Arena located at 3785 SH 27, Kerrville, TX 78028: removal, replacement, and disposal of damaged existing framing; repair of damaged existing framing; installation of new bracing for existing columns, rafters, and purlins; and modification of existing framing connections. Work shall be coordinated with ongoing roof panel, liner and insulation removal and replacement under separate contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening. Awarded contracts for projects exceeding $50,000 must include a payment bond for the full amount of the contract price. Awarded contracts for projects exceeding $100,000 must include both payment and performance bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price. The Contractor's obligations to the project however, are not complete and retainage will not be released until all disturbed areas within County property have been restored to pre-existing conditions to the satisfaction of the County Engineer. Liquidated damages are hereby established for work which is not substantially complete in the amount of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per calendar day for each calendar day after the date established in the Notice to Proceed.
