As of December 16, 2025, a construction manager has been awarded for the project. Construction commenced in October 2025 and is scheduled for completion by August 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Fenn Tower Renovation Cleveland State University (CSU) is seeking CMR services for renovations to Fenn Tower, one of the university’s most prominent historical buildings. This project aims to preserve the buildings historic character while addressing critical structural, masonry, and interior upgrades to ensure safety, functionality, and comfort for its residents. The scope of work includes comprehensive renovations to the exterior masonry, structural steel reinforcements, and interior dormitory upgrades on all residential floors. All work must comply with the State of Ohio’s building codes and align with best practices for historic preservation. At the current state, work is being done to obtain historical tax credits and design drawings as it pertains to securing additional funding, which are high level. Additionally, CSU has onboarded a team to resolve the 8th floor parapet wall. It is hopeful that all preliminary work will be complete as we onboard both A/E and CMR for this project with the target of a fully functional building by August of 2026.
