Renovation of a parking garage in Mississauga, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
This Request for Tender is for work that includes the rehabilitation of the CCIT underground parking garage structure at 1800 Middle Road of The University of Toronto Mississauga Campus in the Province of Ontario. It is the Contractors responsibility to provide all labour, material, equipment and supervision to complete the repairs outlined in this specification taking into account all site conditions, noise restriction, work area restrictions, protection requirements, accessibility restrictions, etc. No extras will be entertained for inconveniences after the award of this Contract. In particular, the work includes but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. The installation and maintenance of hoarding, dust protection, and construction signage around each phase of work as described in Section 01 56 00. 2. The installation and maintenance of ventilation and exhaust systems into and out of work area as described in Section 01 56 00. 3. Localized replacement of the existing asphaltic waterproofing system from the surface of the suspended parking slabs at debonded areas, cracks, above concrete repairs, and around drain locations as directed by the Consultant. 4. Localized surface, soffit, vertical, and through slab concrete repairs on the suspended parking slabs as directed by the Consultant. 5. Localized repair of all stair tread and riser concrete delaminations as directed by the Consultant. 6. Localized removal and replacement of the existing suspended parking deck area floor drains including localized waterproofing replacement and min. 3'-0" of drain pipe. 7. Localized removal and replacement of the drain piping throughout the garage as directed by the Consultant. 8. Localized removal and replacement of the asphaltic waterproofing system and construction of new concrete curbs at the pipe penetrations throughout the garage as directed by the Consultant. 9. Preparation of slab surfaces and detailing of all cracks and joints, and supply and installation of new thin traffic deck coating on the concrete island within Gridlines G/H/8/11 as shown on the Drawings and as directed by the Consultant. 10. Localized removal and replacement of the existing sump pit covers and repair of the concrete slab-on-grade nosing as directed by the Consultant. 11. Supply and installation of new structural epoxy adhesive at the cracks on the concrete foundation wall adjacent to the air shaft on the P5 level as directed by the Consultant. 12. Localized vertical concrete repairs, cutting of rebar dowels, and construction of new soft joint along the garage foundation wall at the exterior stairwell as shown on the drawings and as directed by the Consultant. 13. Injection of foundation wall leaking cracks as directed by the Consultant. 14. Flush and clean the parking garage floor drainage system upon completion of the work. 15. Localized repainting of the parking garage in areas of repair on the concrete walls, columns, and soffit. 16. Repair all areas damaged by construction activity; specifically, the Contractor shall repair all damage resulting from the Construction to the satisfaction of the Consultant including repainting of surfaces that have been damaged in accordance with these Specifications. 17. Final cleaning of structure, fixtures, piping, etc., and the disposal all waste products and/or debris generated by the construction activity as well as any material present in the work area prior to the commencement of the Work.
