Site work for a water / sewer project in Brownsburg, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, water main construction of approximately 550 L.F. of 16 HDPE Water Main to replace and relocate existing water main and reconnect all adjacent water mains and services, installation of valves, hydrants and all appurtenances as necessary for a complete water main project. All service lines along project route shall be replaced from the water main to water meter. All demolition and removal of existing features shall be included in the work. All labor, equipment, testing and materials to perform the work per the plans and specifications shall be included. Bids must be submitted on the forms in the Contract Documents, and must contain the names of every person or company interested therein, and shall be accompanied, by: 1. A bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid must be submitted with each Contract bid. Bid security shall be forfeited if a bid is withdrawn after the time and date set for receiving bids. 2. Upon award of the contracts but prior to the execution of the contracts between the Town and the Contractor, the Contractor shall provide a one hundred percent (100%) performance and payment bonds. Any performance bond or labor and materials bond must remain in force for at least one (1) year beyond issuance of the Certificate of Substantial Completion. It is intended that actual construction of all work divisions shall be started as soon as practicable, and each bidder shall be prepared to enter promptly into the construction contracts, furnish performance and payment bonds, and begin work without delay in the event the awards are made to that bidder. The Payment Bonds are binding on the successful Bidder, the subcontractors of any tier, and their successors and assigns for the payment of all indebtedness to a person for labor and services performed, material furnished, or services rendered. The Payment Bonds must state that they are for the benefit of the subcontractors, laborers, material suppliers, and those performing services for the Project. Any bond submitted must be from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Indiana. 3. Properly executed for each Contract Indiana Form 96 (revised 2013) prescribed by the Indiana State Board of Accounts, including a financial statement, a statement of experience, a proposed plan or plans for performing the Project and the equipment the Bidder has available for the performance of the Project. 4. Non-collusion affidavits. 5. Certificates of General Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance Coverage in accordance with the Contract Documents. 6. Qualifications, a list of related project experience with pertinent project information and references provided by clients. No bidder may withdraw any bid or proposal within a period of ninety (90) days following the date set for receiving bids or proposals. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to reject bids that do not meet the qualifications outlined in this Notice or in the bidding documents and to waive any formalities or irregularities in the bidding process or in any bid. The Town further reserves the right to reject all bids, should the Town determine, in the opinion of the Town Council based on the bids received, that the contemplated cost of construction is not economically feasible. The Town reserves the right to hold any or all bids or proposals for a period of not more than ninety (90) days and said bids or proposal shall remain in full force and effect during said period. The Town reserves the right to reject and/or cancel any and all bids, solicitations and/or offers in whole or in part as specified in the solicitations.
