Renovation of a water / sewer project in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Wastewater Treatment Plant (YWWTP) Upgrades Project. Work includes: Upgrades to the headworks, wetwell and associated components for the secondary treatment facilities; Upgrades to the secondary treatment technologies; Disinfection facility upgrades which may include a new building for a new UV system and relocation of the existing chlorine contact channel; SCADA upgrades; Decommissioning of the existing anaerobic sludge digester; and Upgraded and robust odour control system for the facility and sludge stabilization and handling areas. TIMELINE: Project is in design. Design is to be completed by fall 2026; tender and construction may be planned for 2031+. Further update early 2026. *Cost to be confirmed
