Renovation of a multi-residential development in Lancaster, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The Lancaster Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for Fire Alarm Upgrades at Bigelow Gardens 667-1 Development located at 449 Main Street, So. Lancaster, Massachusetts for the Lancaster Housing Authority in Lancaster Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by BLW Engineers, Inc. The Project consists of: Upgrades to the Fire Alarm system at the 667-1 development consisting of 12 low-rise, 1-story buildings for seniors. Eleven of the buildings have (6) apartments each and one building has (4) apartments. A new addressable FA system, with CO detection, as applicable, that meets current MA code with fire department notification/central monitoring in each building. The work is estimated to cost $630,000 Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of Alarm Systems. General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates) and made payable to the Lancaster Housing Authority.
