This project is scheduled for 90 calendar days to substantial completion and in general includes: Install new urethane flooring over prepared existing substrate Minimum rates of wages to be paid on the project have been determined by the Commissioner of the Division of Occupational Safety under the provisions of Sections 26 and 27, Chapter 149 of the General Laws. Wage rates are given in the Instructions to Bidders. Each general bid and filed sub-bid proposal must be secured by an accompanying deposit of 5% of the total bid amount, including all alternates, in the form of a bid bond, a certified, treasurer's, or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company made payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Scope of Work The scope of work, without limiting the generality thereof, shall consist of: .1 Preparation and repair of the existing flooring material and substrate as defined on the attached drawings for installation of Urethane flooring. .2 Provide and install new Urethane flooring system over the properly prepared substrate including sloping to existing drains. .3 Work will be done in a phased approach as outlined in the contract drawings. 1-03. The work is described by: .1 these specifications as enumerated in the "Table of Contents". .2 addenda issued during the bidding period which are hereby made a part of these specifications. .3 the printed form of contract. 1-04. The distribution of work in these specifications .1 is intended to be described under the appropriate trade; .2 may be redistributed, except as directed herein, provided no controversy will arise among the trades and progress will not be delayed.
