Sealed bids are invited for the Lancaster DPW Roof Replacement Project at 453 Center Bridge Rd, Lancaster, MA 01523. Bids shall comply with M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 44A through Section 44J, inclusive, and Chapter 30, Section 39M, as amended. A current Prime Certificate of Eligibility for Roofing issued by the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) and an Update Statement are required for eligibility. The estimated project value is $250,000.00. Every bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, in the form of a bid bond, certified check, treasurer's check, or cashier's check, made payable to the Town of Lancaster. Bid forms and contract documents are available upon registration by email with the architect. Addenda will be sent electronically to registered plan holders. Site visit by bidders is advised. Bidders must provide a performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. Minimum wage rates for labor are established per Department of Labor and Workforce Development and must be followed. All employees must have OSHA 10-hour training certification. Sealed bids must be clearly marked, submitted in duplicate, and received by the specified deadline. Bids may be modified or withdrawn only by written notice before the deadline. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and take action deemed in its best interest. The Town of Lancaster encourages participation by qualified MBE/DBE/WBE firms.
