The RM of Edenwold No. 158 is accepting tenders for the loading, hauling and spreading gravel onto roads within the municipality as per the 2025 gravel map which will be provided to the successful bidder. The RM stockpile is located at SW 8-18-17 W2 and gravel spreading shall commence no sooner than June 1st and shall be completed by August 1st, 2025. Approximate gravel to be spread is about 20,000 cubic yards.. All inquiries prior to the closing of bids shall be directed to Rod Benroth, Public Works Foreman at (639) 590- 9026. Any correspondence by email shall be directed to rod.benroth@edenwold-sk.ca. The successful Bidder upon award shall provide trucks for loading, hauling and spreading 3/4 " gravel from the RM gravel stockpile located at the SW 8-18-17 W2M to various roads as indicated on the 2025 gravel map which with be supplied by the Rural Lead Operator or Foreman. Approximate quantity is 20,000 cubic yards. The Contractor shall provide a loader for loading his belly dump trailers. The RM is not liable for moving or set-up costs and proof of safety inspections on trucks will be required. Contractor agrees that if he sub-contracts gravel hauling to another individual or company that this may only be done with the approval of the municipality; The RM will retain the right to determine the amount of gravel spread; The RM may suspend gravel hauling and spreading at any time, due to adverse road or weather conditions, or unsatisfactory performance by the contractor; The RM reserves the right to have any gravel truck weighed at any time to verify the actual load; Contractor agrees to obey the speed limit on all municipal roads at all times; This agreement applies to the year 2025 only. The RM of Edenwold No. 158 will normally award contracts to the lowest competent Bidder meeting the required specifications. However, the RM retains the right to reject any or all Tenders/Quotations/Proposals and to take into consideration past performance of bidders on similar contracts, both in and out of the RM of Edenwold No. 158 and such other factors the RM considers relevant including timing of services to be provided.
