The work to be done under this contract includes:Partial roof replacement of an existing building (roof of the Kaw Water Treatment Plant located at 720 W 3rd Street, Lawrence, KS 66044) which will be open to the public. The owner will occupy the building and site during roofing operations. All questions and clarifications regarding this bid should be submitted only via email and directed to the Citys purchasing department at purchasing@lawrenceks.org. The bid number shall be referenced in the email subject line. The Question Deadline is Question Deadline 03/03/2025 at 12:00 PM CT. All questions will receive an official written response from the City and will become addenda to this Bid. WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents; Original Contract Documents (Drawings) and Project Manual (Specifications), and consist of the following: 1. Scope: Full tear-off and roof replacement of approximately 2,300 square feet of the Original Building roof system and approximately 9,600 square feet of the 1957 Addition Building roof system as indicated within the Drawings. The Southeast Building and Northeast Building roofs are not included within this project scope. New roof slopes shall match existing slopes or deadflat conditions to maintain existing drainage points as well as perimeter flashing conditions of all project roof areas with the addition of tapered insulation as illustrated to reduce areas of ponding water. 2.
