The Town of North Andover, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites bids for the Drinking Water Treatment Plant Influent Screen Replacement project. The Work under this Contract is for replacements of the two (2) Drinking Water Treatment Plant (DWTP) influent traveling screens. The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, demolishing the existing two (2) influent traveling screens and associated equipment, providing two (2) new influent traveling screens and one (1) control panel, modifying spray water piping including replacing select piping and valves, and removing and reinstalling of existing facility piping as needed to accommodate installation of the new equipment. Additional work includes selective demolition and electrical work, as shown in the Contract Drawings. All proposed work shall be sequenced as described in the Contract Drawings. General Bidder shall be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in Sewage and Water Treatment Plants. Each Bid Proposal must include a Certificate of Eligibility in their respective category of eligibility. Construction must be complete 360 calendar days from and including issuance of a notice to proceed, and/or receipt of fully executed contract. All proposed work shall be sequenced as described in the Contract Drawings. The bidding and award of the Contract shall be in full compliance with Sections 44A to 44J inclusive of Chapter 149 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised. The Town of North Andover may cancel this IFB or reject in whole or in part any and all proposals, if they determine that cancellation or rejection serves the best interest of the Town of North Andover.
