The 2025-2026 CDBG program year will begin on July 1, 2025, and end on June 30, 2026 It is anticipated that the total amount of proposals submitted will exceed the amount of funding available. To be considered for funding, CDBG project proposals must meet one of the following objectives: Directly benefit low- and moderate-income persons; Aid in prevention or elimination of slums or blight; Meet an urgent need (the activity provides a remedy to a serious and immediate health or welfare problem, such as a natural disaster). Proposals will only be accepted from the following: Governmental agencies Non-profit organizations Private for-profit entities Examples of CDBG projects completed in previous program years include Housing Rehabilitation, ADA Improvements, Street and Alley Improvements, Micro-Business Development and Public Services.
