Site Development The scope of work consists of the site development of a new highway garage facility including site preparation of rough and finished grades, storm water system, perimeter fencing, sliding vehicular gates, asphalt pavement, concrete pavement, exterior lighting, storm water system, fueling island canopy, fuel storage and dispensing system, landscaping, septic system, and city water system, and utility services. Primary Building The scope of work includes the construction of a new pre-engineered metal building to accommodate the Highway Department Administration and Maintenance operations. The approximately 30,079 square feet (Base Bid) building is anticipated to be a single-story building without a basement and contain mechanical, electrical, fire protection systems. Approximately 1500 square feet of space will be constructed as ‘shell space. The ‘fit-out of this space is identified as an Alternate Bid Item to serve as office space. Vehicle Storage Building The scope of work includes the construction of a pre-engineered metal building to accommodate highway vehicles, including dump trucks, pick-up trucks and other highway support equipment. The approximately 23,375 square feet (Base Bid) building is anticipated to be a single-story building without a basement and contain a semi-heated vehicle storage area. An additional 8575 square feet will be identified as an Alternate Bid Item.
