Demolition, site work and addition to a civil project in Bradenton, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

This project involves the addition of a new water treatment basin, including all required appurtenances, materials, and equipment (referred to as Basin D). This will also include needed transfer pump capabilities to the Ground Storage Tanks. The existing Basin(s) will be modified to allow for the treatment of additional groundwater through piping upgrades. Exact capacity needs to be determined during the design phase, but anticipated to be in the 30-60MGD range. The project includes engineering, design, and construction of the new facilities. Additionally, the high service pump station at the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) will be expanded, including the installation of two (2) new 8,500 GPM (12.3 MGD) vertical turbine pumps with variable frequency drives (VFDs). This expansion will also incorporate all necessary electrical system components and SCADA integration. As of November 14, 2025, this project is included in the Manatee County FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Construction is planned to start in October 2027 and end in March 2030.
