The City of Kenedy Will Receive Bids for the Kenedy Water Treatment Plant #2, CDBG-MIT GLO Contract 22-085-006-D234 Project (SWE Project No. 1058-002-22) The Project generally consists of a Water Plant (wells tie-ins, coolers, filters, GST tie-in, pump building with high service pumps / chlorination / electrical / controls / office / restroom, yard piping, irrigation system, all- weather surfacing, etc. Bid evaluations will be completed at a later time and date. Question Deadline 02/18/2025 at 4:00 PM CT To allow all questions during the bid period to be sufficiently reviewed and appropriately answered by way of addenda, the deadline for submitting questions. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Kenedy may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City requires Payment and Performance Bonds in 100% of the contract amount. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) Wage Rate, as issued by the U.S. Department of Labor and contained in the Contract Documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity or national origin. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
