Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Fayetteville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Work includes, but is not limited to, complete interior renovations of 20 apartments, which includes the conversion of two apartments for handicap accessibility with associated site work. 1. Interior renovations consist of, but is not limited to, complete kitchen updates with new kitchen cabinets, fixtures and finishes; complete bathroom updates with new fixtures, new plumbing lines and finishes; new interior doors; new flooring; new light fixtures; and painting. 2. Site work includes, but is not limited to, new handicap parking spaces and access ramp. Each prime bidder must deposit with his bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid. Bid Bonds and Performance and Payment Bonds must be secured by a guaranty, or a surety company listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570 and shall be within the maximum amount specified for such company in said Circular 570. The "Bid Bond" and the "Performance and Payment Bond" must be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the state where the project is located and must be listed in U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570. All bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1994 (TCA Title 62, Chapter 6) of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. For projects $25,000 and more, the law requires the Prime (general) contractor to list their contractor license information on the outside of the bid envelope with the Name as licensed, License Number, Expiration Date and the Classification applying to the bid. In addition to the prime, the contractor license information must also be included on the outside of the envelope for the Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Roofing and Masonry subcontractors; unless their portion (each discipline/field) is less than $25,000; or masonry portion if less than $100,000 (including materials and labor). In addition, Geothermal projects must include the Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) Well Driller license number with the G, L or G,L classification, unless their portion is less than $25,000. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Document Note: Prime bidders not tendering a bonafide bid will be refunded half of their bid deposit amount upon return of the bidding documents. No refunds will be issued for bidding documents received after the 14-day period. All bid deposit checks, or drafts shall be made payable to Cauthen & Associates, LLC. Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening
