Project No. 2021-241.00 (T-NR-E) The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. The purpose of this project is to construct a FEMA 361 shelter of approximately 30,700 square feet located on the campus of Fayetteville High School. 2. Shelter to include, but not limited to, site work, grading, masonry, concrete, interior finishes, hvac, plumbing, and electrical. This project is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee. The City of Fayetteville/Fayetteville City Schools encourages WOBE "Women Owned Business Enterprise" and minority participation either as the prime or subcontractor/supplier for this project. Partial sets will not be issued. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of Cashier or Certified Check, Letter of Credit, or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid; such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute contract and post-Performance Bond in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used, shall be payable to the Owner. Bids on the Project must be received on or before the period scheduled for the Project and no bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening without the written approval of position of Fayetteville. All bid bonds must be accompanied by the appropriate Power of Attorney. No Power of Attorney is necessary with a cashiers check, certified check, or letter of credit. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any or all projects and to waive informalities.
