The Morgan County Commissioners is requesting proposals for engineering services to design, prepare specifications and bid a jail building renovation project at 37 E. Main Street, McConnelsville, Ohio 43756. Services also needed include inspecting the project throughout the process. The project will include more specifically, improving rear building access and ADA compliance, improving security intake and release area, replacing the fire alarm system and improving lighting, ventilation, intercom system and visitation area. Responding firms will be evaluated in accordance with Ohio Revised Code, Title 1, Chapter 153, Sections 65 through 71. All firms interested in being considered for this selection must submit two copies of the submitted proposal identifying members of their staff that will be responsible for leading the projects, their technical expertise, the management and staffing capabilities of the firm, related prior experience, professional references and cost for the project. The goal of the competitive process is to objectively select the firm who will provide the highest quality service. Accordingly, technical expertise and related past experience will be weighed heavily. The candidates judged most qualified based on a review of the statements of qualifications may be interviewed. All proposals submitted must include their hourly rate of service and estimated number of hours to complete job. All proposals need to have an estimated time of completion.
