Renovation of a residential development in Kingman, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The City of Kingman, through a Community Development Block Grant from the State of Arizona Department of Housing, is soliciting sealed bids (Invitation for Bids or "IFB") from qualified vendors capable of providing a minimum B-2 commercial license as registered with the Arizona Registrar of Contactors to complete Phase II of the Rehabilitation at the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council facility. All questions must be received by 6:00 pm, on Monday, May 5, 2025. Criteria for selection will be overall cost and the ability to meet delivery dates listed. The City may reject any bid not in compliance with all of the prescribed solicitation procedures and requirements contained herein The City also reserves the right to reject any bid when cancellation is in the best interest of the City. The right is hereby reserved to accept or reject any or all bids or parts thereto, to waive any informality in any proposal, and to reject the bids of any persons who have been delinquent or unfaithful to any contract with the City of Kingman. This job will consist of Phase II of rehabilitating approximately 25% of a 22,148 square foot, free standing office building that was built in 1963, into a transitional home for homeless veterans from Mohave County. Once fully complete the transitional housing will include offices, therapy rooms, warming kitchen, restrooms, showers, laundry room, and conference/meeting rooms. All work will be interior. Phase II rehabilitation work will include installation of electrical services, roofing repairs, veteran rooms, reception area, day room, computer lab, resource library, laundry, the remaining showers/restrooms, and the conference/ training room. Framing has been completed. Insulation will need to be installed, drywall installed and taped, interior doors installed, flooring, lighting, interior painting, electrical receptacles installed as indicated on plans. Plans are attached with the designated area highlighted for bidding purposes. This will also be available at the mandatory pre-bid meeting at the job site. The building has been tested for asbestos, lead based paint and mold, and cleared by ADEQ
