The Beech Street right-of-way bridge is a large timber structure that crosses Egans Creek at the Greenway, beginning about one block east of Citrona Drive and ending west of the Atlantic Recreation Center located at 2500 Atlantic Ave. The Beech Street bridge (EW 2 Beech Street) is approximately 200- feet long, 16-feet wide, is constructed of heavy timber framing and decking and is supported by round timber piles. The decking system is experiencing degradation and warranting replacement. It should be noted that the Egans Creek Greenway system is considered a wildlife sanctuary and an environmentally sensitive area. No litter or pollution of any kind shall be allowed into the Greenway system. The contractor shall take all measures available to prevent it. The contractor will be responsible for removing any debris or pollution from the jobsite area that makes its way into the Greenway system. No exceptions. Jobsite must be cleaned daily with debris hauled off-site. This project is funded by a Local Trail Management Grant Program (TRAIL-G0). The project is to be completed no later than June 15, 2025. The total budget for this project is not to exceed $200,000.00
